Maintain security system communications by switching to cellular communication

In 2019, the Federal Communications Commission granted telecommunications carriers permission to sunset plain old telephone service (POTS) and are no longer required carriers to offer this service to consumers. The order also releases telephone companies from having to offer discounted rates to competitors for POTS resale, increasing the cost significantly. The phase-out is due to reduced demand, increased cost of maintaining POTS lines, and increasing unreliability.

Since POTS is no longer the most reliable communication path and, in many cases, no longer functions at all, now is a great time to switch your security system to cellular communication. While there is some cost for the new cellular communication equipment, switching can often save money over time. Contact our office at 888-264-3680 to discuss your options with an account manager.
